Running a HD4870 1GB?
I was thinking of running at HD4870 with a Acbel E2 Power 510W PSU. The HD4870 claims to require 500W to run, and I'm clear I met the requirement. But with the requirements to close, I was afraid if I were to run it on a C2Q Q9400 2.66GHz, would it work?
And regarding the fact that the HD 4870 requires two 75W 6-pin PCI Express® power connector. I am unclear if my PSU meets that. This is the only description the PSU has.

this should work fine if you can manage to connect the two 6pin PCIe plugs to both 12V rails (1st to 12V1, 2nd to 12V2).
ATI graphics cards need less power than Nvidia's, the HD4870 needs 160W under full load.
short calc:
mobo + C2Q cpu + cpu fan + ram: 200 to 220W
graphics card: 160W
2 hard drives + 1 CD/DVD: 90W
case fans: negligible
total: 450W ----- should work
