What to change in this computer build?
Intel core i7-920
ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 X58 ATX
EVGA GeForce GTX 275 Superclocked 648MHZ 896MB 2.376GHZ
OCZ Gold 6GB DDR3 3X2GB DDR3-1600
Zalman CNPS9900 LED CPU Cooler 120MM
NZXT Tempest
Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB 7200RPM
Corsair TX750W 750W ATX 12V 60A 24PIN ATX Power Supply
I am building a computer but my budget is 1500 and it is 1700 with taxes and everything. Please tell me what to change.
I would switch the GTX 275 to a Radeon 4890 (that saves you around $50-60 before taxes, but only a couple fps) and then drop the 750 watt PSU for a Corsair HX620. 750 watts is big overkill if you only running a single graphics card.
Also, I would check out other CPU coolers besides Zalman. Usually Zalman has relatively expensive coolers, but if you don't plan on overclocking that Core i7 920, you could settle for a cheaper alternative from Scythe, Thermalright, Arctic Cooling, etc.
