For The Purpose Of High Level Quality, Benefit From Brother Intellifax 2910 Printer
The Brother Intellifax 2910 printer/fax machine has a wide range of standard features that make it the perfect office accessory for a small or home based business. It produces clear documents with an economic cost per page and as quickly as machines that cost twice as much. This is enhanced by using the Brother 2910 printer toner that was designed to go along with it.
This machine will produce copies at the rate of 15 pages per minute whether printing out faxes or simply making copies. It also has the capability to reduce and enlarge them before printing, with a range of 50% reduction to 200% enlargement. This allows custom copies to be made on the spot rather than having to transfer them to another machine to accomplish this.
Also built in is the answering machine interface. What this will do is switch the machine over to prepare for an incoming fax. It does this using the Distinctive Ring Pattern Detection (DRPD), which is a distinctive tone that the phone uses to signal to the machine that a fax is about to come in. Because of this feature, the individual receiving the fax does not have to do anything to receive it.
The Brother bulk toner that accompanies this machine helps to ensure that the copies and faxes are all consistent along with being very sharp and clear. This machine will also accept other manufacturer's compatible cartridges but for best results, the OEM cartridge should be used. Along with standard paper sizes this unit may also be used to print out envelopes or transparencies.
It can be annoying to get in a flow of work and then have to stop to reload paper, which is why it is great that this printer comes with the 30 pieces of paper capacity feature in regards to the document feeder. When the other tray is there too, the machine will have 250 sheets of paper to print through before replacements are needed.
This unit comes with an automatic redial feature along with fax forwarding. There is a built in feature that confirms each transmission along with producing a report to reflect the day's activity. This can be a great tool for tracking usage and in knowing when it will be time to order more toner or to reload the paper tray.
The fact that each toner cartridge will print out over 1500 copies before it needs to be changed is an added benefit. If that is not enough to get between replacements, there is also a high-capacity toner that is available that can put out an impressive 12,000 copies. This is ideal for high amounts of inter-office printing.
The Brother Intellifax 2910 printer/copier/fax machine would be a great addition to any small business arsenal. This machine along with the IntelliFax 2910 replacement toners can ensure perfect fax documents and copies every time. Brother laser toners is among the best compatible toners in the industry in maintaining its consistency copy after copy and page after page.
Hook copier up to wireless network...?
I just received a Brother copier/printer that included a cord to connect to the computer (not USB, on my Mac the symbol is a <...>). I tried connecting that cord to the wireless hub, it fit, but my computer could not find the computer. The copier works when I use it straight to the computer, but I would like to make it work with more than one laptop.
Any suggestions?
If it connects with regular ethernet cable, you first need to find out its IP address. The copier/printer itself should have some way to show that or print it out. If that is not automatic or not an IP on your network, you may need to change that setting.
If it emulates some sort of common printer or works with some other native Windows printer driver there might be a way to set it up to print. In Windows that is a matter of configuring a "Local" TCP port for printing and picking the right driver. But otherwise you may need software for it. Not sure how to do that on a Mac, but it would be similar to Unix like lpr/lpd printing.
