Do early 2009 15" Macbook Pros have FireWire ports?

I just bought a Grass Valley/Canopus ADVC-300 device to convert my old home videos to DVD format via my Macbook Pro. But now that I've received it, I've discovered that it requires a FireWire port, and I can't seem to find it anywhere on my computer... Am I just overlooking it?

If it doesn't have one, is there any other lead/cable I could buy to allow the device to connect to my computer?

Many thanks for any information you may have!

It is between the ethernet port and the Mini DisplayPort. See the link below.

You do not have to buy that adapter. You can simply buy a cable that has a six-pin plug on one end, and a 9-pin plug on the other.
