changing a 20amp plug to 15amp?

I have a new ups, the problem is it has a 20amp plug with 1 prong turned 90 degrees, I believe this is because the ups has 20amp receptacles, if i don't use 20amp devices/total would I be ok to change the plug to a normal 15 amp plug? the ups is a eaton powerware 9130. i would not think it would take 20amps if the devices plugged into it don't
Not looking to change the fuse, just the plug end, since it should not be actually pulling 20 amps, as the devices plugged into the ups wont require it.

UPSs do draw more than the devices plugged into them due to losses in the UPS and due to power needed to charge the batteries.

Having said that the "nominal input current" for the UPS is only 16.6A (i'm assuming you have the 2000VA/1800W model as that is the only one with a 5-20 plug) so as long as you don't fully load the UPS you will probablly be ok on a 15A plug.
