The HL 1650 Toner, Low Cost Yet High Quality Printing
Many people feel that high quality printing must inherently be expensive. The Brother HL-1650 proves that to be incorrect. The HL-1650 combined with the Brother HL 1650 cartridge provides high quality, fast printing for the home office or the small business workgroup. The HL-1650 can provide printed page outputs of up to 16ppm. Print quality can be selected to up to 1200 dpi. An automatic duplexer is provided in the HL1650 as a standard feature.
Both parallel and USB connection ports are installed in the HL-1650. If the printer is intended to be utilized in a small office network environment, The optional 10/100 Base TX Ethernet print server must be acquired and installed into the printer. Watermarks can be included in the Driver Properties section. When graphics are included in the printed documents, manual adjustment of both brightness and contrast for the document is available. The Quick Print utility can be placed either in the system tray or as a dedicated icon on the computer.
The highest print quality provided by the HL-1650 is 1200 dpi. While this high quality printing is desirable for final reports, it is not necessary for draft copies. When draft copies of reports or documents are desired, the print quality can be reduced to as low as 300 dpi. The 300 dpi quality, while not suitable for final documents is well suited for review and corrections. There are several factors that determine how quickly a document is to be printed. These factors include which port is utilized to input data, the quality of the print desired and the amount of graphics included in the report.
Brother has made duplex printing a simple task. Many users find alignment problems when attempting duplex printing. The HL-1650 is delivered with automatic duplex printing and six settings for alignment of documents. Should the user not choose to utilize the automatic duplex printing function, duplex printing can be completed by through a manual setting.
The Brother HL-1650 provides a viable option for the small business or small business workgroup. A highly competitive initial cost, combined with high capacity Brother HL 1650 printer cartridge and drum combinations provides a minimal cost of 2 cents per printed page.
