Original Apple Macbook
Even A Refurbished Macbook Is Still Better Than A PC
Obviously the benefits of purchasing anything refurbished is that it's cheaper! But when it comes to the advantages of buying a refurbished Macbook, it's usually the only way some consumers can even think about owning any Macbook.
For Apple and Mac lovers, this devotion has been honed over years. They have no issue spending more than $2,000 for a fully loaded supercharged laptop that does things no PC has ever even thought of and no PC owner would even expect. But that sort of money in this kind of market is hard for some individuals, and leaves little in the way of options - other than purchasing refurbished.
Refurbished Macbook pro and Refurbished Macbook air are a great deal for many who basically can't afford the brand new items the second they hit stores. Even a six month old laptop has top of the line technology and can do anything you need. It's only the real techno-geeks who keep demanding the newest ideas and are willing to pay for these advantages.
"Old" Macs are always being sold for about half of their original purchase price. This is a fantastic investment! PC users generally wait a few years to try to sell their old PCs simply because the technology doesn't change as rapidly, and when it does, it is nothing that the average user feels the need to jump at. However, a refurbished Mac averages about 6 - 12 months old and is worth much more than any refurbished PC.
You don't need to deal with electronics shops or the Yellow Pages to try to find a person who might be capable to guide. You head to an Apple store and ask for help. No searching. No wasted time.
Repairing these things is a whole new ball game. Fixing PCs can be a nightmare. You never know who is going to be working on your computer and also the results could be downright scary. With a Mac, it's different. You only have Mac and Apple certified experienced techno-geeks of the highest caliber allowed to even glance at your beloved laptop! No guesswork, no wasted time finding a person who might be capable to help. Just head to your local Apple store and sign in. They'll take care of the rest. You have a really excellent chance of still being under the original warranty, too.
Apple to Give Employees $500 Off Macs and $250 Off iPads (Macrumors)
According to 9to5Mac, during today's town hall meeting, Apple CEO Tim Cook
announced to employees that they would get $500 off Macs and $250 iPads.
The new discount program starts in June 2012, and can only be used once every
3 years. Employees also need to have been working at Apple for at least 90
days. The discount is reportedly for both corporate and retail employees. The
discount is said to exclude the Mac mini.
Apple employees presently are allowed a one-a-year 25% discount on Apple
systems. One report even claims that this discount will remain in place
alongside the new discounts.
In 2007, shortly after the original iPhone's launch, Apple had announced a
similar perk for employees. At that time, Steve Jobs announced that all full
time and part time Apple employees would receive an 8GB iPhone.
